If you haven’t appraised your valuables in the last 5 years, your insurance won’t pay their
full value. Jewelry By Design is one of only 3 stores in the Washington, D.C area that has
3 AGS certified appraisers. They will give you a fair, unbiased report of exactly what you
have. With our appraisals you will be able to insure your valuables against theft, loss or
damage and you will know precisely how much insurance you will need.

    Appraisals generally range from $65.00 to $125.00

     Some appraisals may be higher for:

    - High End Watches
    Per hour fee is $100 for large quantity appraisals.



Woodbridge's own Jewelry By Design is celebrating the certification of one of its jewelers. Elroy Sell has been awarded the Certified Gemologist Appraiser title from the American Gem Society, an association of professional jewelers in the United States and Canada.
In order to achieve this title, Sell had to build upon his certified gemologist title by passing a two-part exam, including theory questions and practical assignments based on performing a number of accurate, thoroughly detailed complete appraisals on a variety of jewelry items.

The Certified Gemologist Appraiser accreditation is the highest level of achievement in the jewelry industry. Currently, approximately 400 AGS jewelers in North America have earned this prestigious professional title.
